Very cynical and foul-tempered, Saccharum has an attitude nearly all the time. He is cold and and harsh on others, often using excessive sarcasm when speaking. He wasn't always this way though...

The once loving and supportive friend began to covet the throne. She didn't want to just be mate to the King. She wanted to be the one in control of their land.
She wanted to control their army.
She wanted the wealth and power...
And because of that, she betrayed her prince.
She betrayed her best friend.
And she tried to assassinate Saccharum.
He still bares the scars from the day she turned on him. Forever marked on his face, as a constant reminder that his trust was betrayed...

Right now, Morningstar still holds the power and controls the land.
But someday, Saccharum will challenge her, and reclaim his throne.
::Childhood::
As a child, Saccharum lead a very sheltered life. He was the son of the Brightbrow King, and as such is the Prince destined to take the throne.
His best friend, and betrothed mate was named Morningstar. A female Brightbrow who loved and supported him throughout his youth.
Unfortunately his father was too busy ruling the kingdom to act as a father... This lead to most of Saccharum's days being spent alone and feeling neglected.
Morningstar was the only one he was every happy around. The only one he ever trusted...
::Adulthood::
As Saccharum came of age, the pressure from his father weighed heavy on his mind. He knew he had great things to live up to, and a huge responsibility to rule over his people.
Over the years, his friendship with Morningstar grew distant. As did she...
She changed...

When portrayed as an anthro character, Saccharum stands on his hind legs and wears an open front trenchcoat.
He is also always seen wielding or wearing his scimitar.

Queen Morningstar
In her youth, she was betrothed to her best friend Saccharum. He was heir to the throne, and she was to stand by his side as his mate.
The two were the best of friends growing up, and cared deeply for one another. However... During their early years of adulthood, Saccharum's father; King Zeroth fell very ill. The sickness claimed his life in a few short months and Saccharum was forced to assume his place as king.
But something changed in Morningstar over the years. When Saccharum went to become king, she didn't want to merely be his mate. She wanted to rule.
She wanted to change the way things were done. She wanted equality in the royal family. But she knew Saccharum was dead set on respecting the ancient rules of their people. She knew he would never allow her to rule beside him as an equal...
So on the night of his coronation, she approached him as a friend, and attacked!
Her sudden violence caught Saccharum off-guard, and his eye was deeply wounded. He still bares these scars to this day.
Morningstar stole his throne, and assumed her place as queen. The council of elders couldn't do anything to stop her, as she was his betrothed. In a way, she was untouchable.
Unable to show his face after having his throne stolen so easily, and the fact he had done nothing to stop her, Saccharum left as a banished prince... Vowing to one day return.
Morningstar rules with an iron fist.
Her first act as queen was to ban all civilians from the palace. Only nobility and the royal guard would be allowed inside the marbled walls.
Even though her rule is hard, she has made the economy boom, cities are thriving, and the farmlands are prosperous.
Currently no fursuit parts at this time.
::Virtuosa::
Name: Virtuosa
Pronunciation: Vur-two-oh-sah
Gender: Female
Age: Adult
Mate Status: None
Ranking: Artisan in Branching Lake Village
Cheerful, yet calm. Virtuosa was born with the gift of art in her talons.
She often spends her time carving sculptures from fallen trees and from the clay found in the lake near her village. Some of her work she sells in her family's shop, others she leaves out in the forest for others to admire.
When Morningstar assumed the throne, Virtuosa was very displeased. She and her family had followed the traditions of the the royals for decades, and to have them uprooted so easily was disturbing.
Saccharum came to her and her family after he was wounded to seek aid. They had always been good friends with his father, so he knew he could trust them.
During his time there, Virtuosa developed a bit if a secret crush on the banished prince...
One that she would never tell anyone about...
In addition to his character details, Sacchrum has also been brought to life as a fursuit.
Currently just a head, he was made by Neffertity (myself) and built on a raptor mask.
